Christopher Bowen joined Wokingham Choral Society at Eton College School Hall on Saturday 17th Novemeber 2007 to perform Handel's Coronation Anthem 'My heart is inditing and Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate K165.

Christopher Bowen was born in New Zealand and studied singing and medicine at Otago University. He is busy on the concert platform as an oratorio soloist, recitalist and ensemble singer. Christopher has performed a broad array of music from the medieval Play of Daniel (Daniel) to premieres of contemporary works. He has sung most of Bach's works for tenor in the United Kingdom, Europe and further afield. These include evangelist roles, B Minor mass, Magnificat, Christmas and Easter Oratorios and many cantatas.
In 2005 Christopher joined the BBC Singers with whom he performs and records across the UK and abroad. With them he has contributed solo roles in Mozart's C Minor Mass for the European Broadcasting Union broadcast, Arioch in Handel's Belshazzar with the King's Consort, Japanese envoi in Stravinski's Le Rossignol at the BBC proms and Shakespeare in the premiere of John Poole's The Colour of my Song. He has returned to New Zealand for Bach's Matthew Passion and Mozart's Requiem. In recital Christopher has recently explored French baroque works by Couperin, Montclair and Brossard.
