Trine Bastrup Møller joined Wokingham Choral Society at Leighton Park School, Reading on Saturday 27th March 2004 when we performed Rossini's "Petite Messe Solennelle" .

Trine Bastrup Møller       Mezzo-soprano

Born in Denmark, Trine has studied at the conservatory in Copenhagen and at the Royal Academy Opera School in London. She has recently finished a year at the National Opera Studio.

Operatic roles include Dido, Veronique (Bizet Le Docteur Miracle), Teodata (Handel Flavio), L'Enfant (Ravel L'Enfant et les Sortileges), Meg Page (Verdi Falstaff), Cherubino with British Youth Opera, and the rôle of a servant in Param Vir's Ion for Music Theatre Wales.

Concert appearances include Mendelssohn Elijah, Bach Magnificat, St. John Passion, St. Matthew Passion (Gloucester Cathedral), and B-minor mass (St John's, Smith Sq.), Vivaldi Gloria and Mozart Requiem (St. Martin-in-the-fields). She took part in the 2002 Aldeburgh Festival in a concert featuring young contemporary composers, and has premiered several works on Danish Classical Radio 2. She regularly gives recitals for music societies throughout the UK and has appeared in the Linbury Studio's Lunchtime Recital series at Covent Garden.

Trine has received the Van Hauen Scholarship and several other Danish Scholarships and bursaries, and the Lucille Graham Award at the Royal Academy of Music. She is a Samling Foundation Scholar.
