Wyn Pencarreg Baritone
Winner of the Erich Vietheer Memorial Award from Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Wyn Pencarreg was born in West Wales. He studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, gaining many prizes and scholarships, including awards from the Countess of Munster Trust, the Peter Moores Foundation and the Wolfson Foundation. He continues his studies with David Pollard.

His concert engagements have included the C.P.E. Bach Magnificat with the Ten Tors Orchestra, The Snowman (21st Birthday Concert) at Symphony Hall, Birmingham, Messiah with the Ulster Orchestra, Voice of Neptune Idomeneo for the Hallé Orchestra, Truly Madly Mozart at the Royal Festival Hall, Ortel Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg for the BBC Philharmonic and a series of Opera Galas with Diva Opera in France. His broadcasts include Friday Night is Music Night for BBC Radio 2.
Current engagements include Valens Theodora for Opéra de Baugé, Lindorf / Coppélius / Dappertutto / Dr Miracle The Tales of Hoffmann for Mid Wales Opera, Marcello La bohème for Lyric Opera, Dublin, Messiah for Nottingham Harmonic Society and Theodora with the Hanover Band.
