Alexander Chaplin

Alexander Chaplin           Musical Director

Alexander Chaplin was Musical Director of Wokingham Choral Society from 2007 until 2015, a role which he held within an increasingly busy portfolio of work as a conductor, animateur and recitalist.

In April 2015 Alexander was appointed Associate Music Director of Aldeburgh Voices, an auditioned chamber choir run by Aldeburgh Music at Snape Maltings.

He is also Musical Director of East London Chorus, Harlow Chorus and The Savoy Hotel Choir; he is Director of Music at Hinde Street Methodist Church in London's West End and a Lecturer at Morley College.

Alexander was educated at the Royal Academy and Royal College of Music, and as an organ scholar at Lincoln College Oxford; he also holds the choral training diploma from the Royal College of Organists and a Masters degree in theology from the University of London.

Alexander has performed on BBC Radio and TV and his performing diary includes concerts in York Minster, Liverpool Cathedral and at the Thaxted Festival.
