Andrew Foster-Wiliams joined Wokingham Choral Society at Eton School Hall on 25th March 2006 to perform Mendelssohn's Elijah.

Andrew Foster-Wiliams       Bass

Andrew Foster-Williams studied at the Royal Academy of Music where he won many prizes and was recently made an Associate. He won second prize in the 1998 Kathleen Ferrier Award as well as the Anthony Lewis Musica Britannica Award.

Operatic engagements have included Garibaldo/Rodelin and Melisso/ Alcina at the Göttingen Handel Festival, Polyphemus/Acis & Galatea with the Early Opera Company, Doctor/Pelléas et Mélisande and Don Fernando /Fidelio for Glyndebourne Touring Opera, Podesta/The Thieving Magpie, Colline/La Bohème and Angelotti/Tosca for Opera North, Don Alfonso/Così Fan Tutte for British Youth Opera, Farasmane/Radamisto and Marziano/Alessandro Severo for the London Handel Society, Rocco/ Fidelio and Horensius/The Daughter of the Regiment for English Touring Opera.

On the concert platform Andrew has appeared with the English Concert/Trevor Pinnock in tours of St Matthew Passion, Messiah with The King's Consort, Haydn Nelson Mass at the QEH and St Matthew Passion with the Aalborg Symphoniorkester in Denmark and with Nicholas Kraemer and the CLS. Recent appearances include Mozart's Requiem with the City of Birmingham Symphony Chorus, Scarlatti's St Cecilia Vespers and Handel's Saul in Gottingen, Christus St Matthew Passion with Sir Roger Norrington/OAE, Handel's Allegro with William Christie/Les Arts Florissants, The Creation with the Hallé Orchestra and Acis & Galatea with Paul McCreesh/Gabrieli Consort.

Future engagements include Colline/La Bohème at Grange Park, Der Sprecher/Die Zauberflote and The Voice of Neptunel/Idomeneo for Glyndebourne Touring Opera, Haydn's Seven Last Words with Daniel Harding and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Charpentier's David et Jonathan with Emmanuelle Haim, Argante/Rinaldo at the Handel Festival in Gottingen and Winterreise in a project for Opera North.
