Fiona Scott MacArthur joined
Wokingham Choral Society in the Great Hall, University of Reading on 19th November, 2011 to
perform Karl Jenkins' The Armed Man - A Mass for Peace.
Fiona Scott MacArthur Contralto
Originally studying with Margaret Aronson (Head of Vocal Studies at RSAMD) in Edinburgh, Fiona has been studying voice since 1996 with the Grammy & Bafta Award-winning Mezzo-Soprano, and Trinity Teacher Ameral Gunson.
She regularly coached with the late, and much missed, Paul Hamburger (for many years head of programming at BBC Radio 3) and has won many prizes for opera, oratorio & lieder.
Fiona is a very experienced recitalist and has been gradually building up her concert programme after taking time off from performance work since the birth of her son in 2004.
She is Musical Director of the Great Bedwyn Millennium Choir, Technical Director of Bella Voce in Ramsbury and has a busy private teaching practice at St John's School and Community College in Marlborough, Pinewood School in Bourton & at home in Ramsbury.
