Jenny Stafford            Soprano

Jenny Stafford graduated with a BMus from King's College London, completed ENO Opera Works and is now in her 2nd year of an MA in vocal performance at the Royal Academy of Music under Julie Kennard and Jonathan Papp, where she has gained the Isabel Jay Operatic Prize and the Dame Eva Turner Operatic Award.

In June 2012, Jenny was selected for the prestigious Georg Solti Accademia di Bel Canto, participating in masterclasses with Angela Gheorghiu, Richard Bonynge and Dennis O'Neill. She has also participated in masterclasses with Edward Gardner, Barbara Bonney, Lillian Watson and Elaine Kidd.

Jenny has given recitals and concerts in venues such as the Barbican Centre, Southwark Cathedral, Huddersfield Town Hall and for the Chipping Campden Music Festival 2011. Solo performances include Brahms' Requiem, Poulenc's Gloria, Mendelssohn's St Paul, Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate, C Minor Mass and Vesperae Solennes de Confessore, Haydn's Harmoniemesse, Theresienmesse, Missa Sancti Nicolai and Missa in Angustiis, Fauré's Requiem, Handel's Messiah and Monteverdi Vespers (1610).

Operatic roles include Musetta (La Bohème) for Silent Opera at the Vaults Festival (Old Vic), Vitellia (La Clemenza di Tito) and Dido (Dido & Aeneas) in the Cadogan Hall, Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Savitri (Holst's Savitri) and Alison (Holst's The Wandering Scholar) at Grimeborn Festival 2011, Lady Dunmow (A Dinner Engagement), Second Woman (Dido & Aeneas) for Old Vic New Voices.
