Sofia Larsson            Soprano

Sofia Larsson recently graduated from the Royal College of Music International Opera School in London, where she studied with Dinah Harris. She previously studied at the Royal Academy of Music under Philip Doghan and Audrey Hyland, on the ENO Opera Works training programme and at King's College London, where she graduated with a first-class honours degree in Music.

Sofia's previous operatic roles include Pamina (Mozart Die Zauberflöte), Gretel (Humperdinck Hänsel und Gretel) and Miss Wordsworth (Britten Albert Herring) for RCMIOS, Ginevra (Handel Ariodante) and Calisto (Handel Giove in Argo) for London Handel Festival, the title role in Holst's Savitri for British Youth Opera and cover Antonia and Giulietta (Offenbach The Tales of Hoffmann) for English Touring Opera. Recent performances include Gretel with Pop-Up Opera and covering the role of Anne Trulove (Stravinsky The Rake's Progress) for Festival d'Aix-en-Provence.

In concert, Sofia has appeared as a soloist for the Kohn Foundation Bach Cantata Series at the Royal Academy of Music and regularly performs in concert venues across the UK. Highlights include Mozart Exsultate, Jubilate at St Martin in the Fields, Handel Messiah at King's Place, Bach St John Passion at St John's Smith Square, Handel Theodora with Rachel Podger at Brecon Cathedral and Bach Cantatas 5 & 41 under Masaaki Suzuki at Royal Academy of Music.

A Britten-Pears Young Artist and keen recitalist, Sofia won the Elena Gerhardt Lieder Prize and was a member of Song Circle at the Royal Academy of Music.
